Sydonnae Simon is an emerging visual artist with an experimental love for storytelling, world building and exploring the balance between art, culture and communities.
Inspired Jamaican folklore, femininity and dreamwork, her paintings explore themes of the divine feminine, cultural expression and surrealist environment. Based in Toronto, Ontario, she shares her work in public spaces, often through live experiences, workshops or installation. Derived from her passion for impacting any environment around her Sydonnae is currently partnering with organizations such as VIBE Arts, NIA Center and other local busineses, to activate community spaces for workshops.
Her goals are to continue to uplift creatives, especially femme identifing creatives and women of colour, to enhance community building, through meaningful activation.
